What To Expect

  • Health Coaching is a clinically proven approach to enhancing health and wellbeing. It involves working with people to help adopt and maintain new lifestyle habits that lead to positive changes in diet, sleep, energy levels, exercise routines, stress reduction, time management, pain relief, life satisfaction and overall wellbeing.

Coaching with me is a collaborative process where I help you develop strategies, increase self-awareness, and make meaningful progress towards your personal goals.

My coaching style is based on compassionate curiosity and is informed by my lived experience as well as extensive additional training in neurodiversity affirming practice, therapeutic pathways for ADHD adults and more.

During coaching sessions with me we will spend time identifying your unique profile of strengths and struggles and designing a path forward you can walk with confidence and clarity.

We will explore what health and wellbeing mean to you and how you can use this insight to feel better!

It is exploratory, beautiful, supportive, kindly curious and absolutely life changing!

Health and wellbeing underpin all other aspects of our life…

When you make lifestyle changes and prioritise self care, you will see improvements in your work, focus and relationships too.

  • ADHD Coaching is a collaborative process where I support you to explore how ADHD is affecting all areas of your life.

We will discuss how you can increase your understanding of your unique set of differences.

We will also identify specific tools, techniques and strategies you can use to maximise your potential, focusing on your strengths and values to tap into your strongest motivators.

ADHD is a whole person difference - it affects every aspect of life from work to study to relationships and health. Fully understanding this and getting clear on your unique profile of traits is positively life changing!

  • I am not a clinician so my role is not to diagnose or advise but to ask the right questions to help you find insight and solutions to whatever is most important to you.

I’m here to provide a non-judgemental space where you can safely discuss whatever you don’t have space to discuss outside of our sessions.

This is a space for you to reflect, plan and explore. I am here to be alongside you, to help you clarify your thoughts, check in with you about your plans and celebrate your successes!

I’m here to support you through conversation, reminders, planning and following-through with your intentions, problem solving and cheerleading!

  • It’s a conversation that is focussed solely on you and your needs.

I will ask questions, I’ll clarify what I hear you saying, and may offer resources and tools to help, if you’d like me to. I’ll support you however you’d like to be supported.

Some people prefer to have more structure, in which case I can provide worksheets and we can discuss more specific topics.

Others prefer a more fluid session where they can simply speak honestly knowing they aren’t being judged and that they are being truly heard.

The session is unique to you but it will always be a safe space that is confidential.

I will always take a kindly curious approach and will always encourage you to develop self compassion.

  • You choose how you’d like us to communicate.

When you book your session in the calendar you’ll be prompted to select whether you’d prefer it to be a voice call, video call or live text based chat.

I usually use Whatsapp because it’s the most accessible for everyone but if you don’t have that installed we can find an alternative (such as Zoom or Google) so just let me know beforehand.

  • I usually use Whatsapp for the sessions because we can either do text based live chat, voice call or video call and most people have Whatsapp already.

If you don’t, though, please let me know in advance so we can find an alternative.

  • I will take notes, with your permission, by hand. I do this because

    • it helps me to focus on what you’re saying

    • it allows me to note down any questions I might have without interrupting you when you’re in flow speaking

    • it helps me to summarise what we’ve talked about at the end of our session

    • it allows us to write down what you’ve decided your next steps are going to be

    • you can relax knowing you don’t need to try to remember everything

    • we can track progress over time by referring back to notes

Most people really like me to write notes so they can have a summary sent to them after the session and remember the most important points.

You can request to see your notes at any time. For more information about how I respect and protect your privacy you can see my full GDPR and Privacy Policy HERE

  • You can turn up exactly as you are. You don’t have to be at your best, you don’t have to look smart, you don’t have to know what you’re doing, you don’t have to mask, you don’t have to worry about anything at all!

This is a space for you to be however you need to be. There are no pressures or expectations. You are safe, you are respected, you are accepted, you belong.

The only thing I would suggest is that you find somewhere private and distraction-free for our sessions.

  • Yes. Firstly, you decide whether you’d like us to be speaking by text, voice or video. That allows you to be wherever is most comfortable for you.

Secondly, if we are having a video or voice call I will always try to ensure there are no background noises or movement to distract us but if you notice something and it’s bothering you - please tell me!

This session is for you so if there’s something you aren’t comfortable with, just say and we will find a solution together.

  • No problem at all!

The purpose of these sessions is to help you clarify what your needs and goals are so you absolutely don’t need to turn up with all the answers!

If you already had it all figured out, you wouldn’t be looking for coaching.

  • That’s entirely up to you!

Coaching vs Therapy

  • Health Coaching is a clinically proven approach to enhancing health. During coaching sessions with me we will spend time identifying your unique profile of strengths and struggles and designing a path forward you can walk with confidence and clarity.

  • This is THE most common question and that’s because there is a lot of overlap. However, the two are distinct and different and the difference is important.

Coaching focuses on personal development, changing direction, goal achievement, and building sustainable healthy habits.

Whereas therapy addresses mental health issues and emotional healing, without an expectation to discuss the future or make plans to do things differently.

Coaching tends to be forwards focused whereas therapy will be more likely to look at your past.

Coaches are not licensed to diagnose or medically treat mental health conditions. That doesn’t mean you can’t work with a coach if you have a mental health condition, it just means you need to have therapy first or at the same time.

Coaching is much more about taking action, whereas therapy is much more about coming to terms with and processing things like trauma, which may not result in outwardly visible changes in lifestyle.

  • If you’re struggling with severe psychological symptoms you need to seek therapy before coaching.

If you are already having therapy and you feel coaching would be a helpful addition to your support needs, it is a great idea to have both. A lot of progress can be made that way.

If you feel well enough but want to supercharge your health and wellbeing from average to superb then coaching is a great option!

  • If you experience severe psychological symptoms, such as psychosis or hallucinations, please seek help from a licensed therapist or clinical healthcare professional before choosing coaching with me.

It is beyond the scope of my professional and ethical boundaries to support you with these symptoms specifically.

If you have consulted a clinical professional and they have advised you to pursue coaching, please refer them to me to confirm. You may need to provide extra details (such as who to contact in an emergency) so I can ensure I’m able to support you safely.

  • Coaching is right for you if you’re looking to improve self-awareness, develop practical strategies, and create a life aligned with your values.

You might not know which changes you’d like to make, you may not be clear on exactly what your values are or how to achieve your vision of a better life, but you are feeling drawn to find out.

You have a willingness and an openness to discovering more about yourself with kind curiosity.

Coaching may NOT be for you if: you want to avoid making any changes, you aren’t curious about possibilities, you don’t want to reflect on your experiences or discuss them with anyone else, you aren’t interested in living a values-aligned life and you’d rather stay right where you are.

  • My training and experience goes beyond the basic Health and Wellbeing Coach accreditation, which does not as standard include anything about ADHD or neurodivergence.

I have been trained in the fundamentals of sensory processing, therapeutic pathways for supporting ADHD individuals and exploring neurodiversity in the workplace.

I also have lived experience (I am ADHD and Dyscalculic) and have been supporting neurodiverse children in mainstream and special needs school settings as well as adults in small businesses for over 10 years - since before the topic became well known.

If you are neurodivergent, you need a neurodiversity-affirming coach who truly understands.

Safeguarding,

Policies & Values

  • Your safety and well being is my top priority.

Our sessions are private and what you say to me will be in confidence.

However if you indicate that you may be in danger or that you are thinking of harming yourself or others then I have an ethical obligation to pass that information on to somebody more qualified to help. If this is the case I will first speak with you openly about it.

If you have a safeguarding concern during our sessions please speak honestly with me about it. I endeavor to create a safe space where concerns can be raised and dealt with respectfully and professionally.

You can view my full safeguarding policy HERE

    • I value and admire the vast diversity of life on this planet including all humans, plants, insects, animals and cultures.

    • I believe honest, empathetic conversation brings peace.

    • In a world marked by violence and inequality, I see choosing kindness is an act of courage.

    • I am here to ask the compassionately curious questions needed for you to discover clarity and make conscious, intentional, meaningful and sustainable change in your life.

    • I honour the truth as well as the humanity of those who hear it.

    • I stand for being the change you want to see in the world and although I am imperfect (as all humans are) I do my best to live in alignment with my core values.

    • I believe transparency is part of a respectful, trusting relationship, which is why I have stated my prices, policies and process as clearly as I can for all to see.

  • I respect your privacy and am compliant with GDPR. You can read the full GDPR Policy HERE

  • You can reschedule or cancel your booking using the link in your booking email up to 48hours before the appointment.

After that, it will not be refundable unless in exceptional circumstances.

You can see the full cancellation and refund policy HERE

  • Absolutely yes please! I’m always developing and improving and feedback is a key part of that. If there’s something you’d like to let me know about, like a bug on my website, a mistake in the information on a page or feedback about our coaching sessions together, simply email me and I’ll be very happy to hear it.

  • I am committed to creating a coaching space that is inclusive, equitable, and affirming for all people - especially those who have historically been under-represented, excluded, or under-served in health and wellbeing support.

I recognise that access to support is not, and has never been, equal for everyone. I do what I can to account for this within my limits.

By balancing care for others with care for myself, both energetically and financially, I strive to sustainably make a positive contribution to my community with this work.

I also receive professional supervision and ongoing training, and I maintain strong boundaries around confidentiality, scope, and consent — all of which I outline clearly in my various policy documents, which you can view HERE

  • The PCI (Personalised Care Institute) is accountable for setting the standards for evidence-based training in personalised care in England, as set out by the NHS (National Health Service)’s Long Term Plan.

The PCI was set up by the NHS in order to set quality standards for training staff involved in people’s health and care.

    Being PCI-Accredited means I have:

    1. Successfully completed training that met the high standards the PCI expects as the centre of excellence for evidence-based training in the Comprehensive Model of Personalised Care.

    2. Been approved by a qualified assessor who observed and questioned me for 4 days to assess my competence.

  • The answer is in 3 parts:

    1. The NHS haven’t yet implemented this new workforce so there is a very long waiting list to see a Health Coach. In the meantime, people are suffering without support.

    2. In addition to PCI Accreditation for basic Health & Wellbeing Coaching I also have extensive additional training in helping people with the challenges of ADHD and neurodivergence including therapeutic fundamentals, sensory processing, executive functioning and trauma-informed care.

    3. I have lived experience. I am ADHD and Dyscalculic. And I have been supporting neurodiverse humans of all ages and backgrounds for over 10 years, since before people started really talking about it. I understand these struggles in a way that the average (neurotypical) coach cannot.

  • There is a larger discussion to be had around this but… Essentially it means that rather than pathologising difference, I recognise every human is absolutely unique and equally as valid as any other.

It is a sad fact that people with differences or disabilities are often made to feel less-than. For example, I have a diagnosis of ADHD and Dyscalculia. I used to believe I was less valid than a human without a diagnosis - that there was something ‘wrong’ with me and I wasn’t good enough. I felt I was defined by the things I couldn’t do as well as neurotypical people.

However, just because ADHD or Dyscalculia or any other difference can be disabling when we’re living in a world that isn’t set up for us to thrive, it doesn’t mean that we are the problem, that we are less valuable or that we need to pretend to be anything other than we are. In fact, it’s the opposite.

A cactus in a rainforest will rot. It isn’t the cactus that’s the problem, it’s the environment. When we put the cactus in sandier soil with less rainfall, it basks in the sun and thrives as it should. But in order for that to happen, someone must first recognise that it is a cactus, understand why it feels like it’s drowning and clearly identify what it actually needs.

Until we recognise that difference is NORMAL and diversity in all species of life on this planet is natural and beautiful and that there is no ideal one-size-fits all body type, neurotype, personality type or lifestyle, we will continue to struggle and feel the pain of judgement, comparison and elitism.

  • No, I don’t. You’re here to make meaningful, lasting change in your life and I take that very seriously.

I’m here as a skilled, experienced and qualified professional who specialises in supporting exactly this kind of transformation.

I’m only able to sustainably support others full time because I am paid for this work. I can only show up and give you my undivided care and attention during sessions if I am in a position of relative good health myself.

Payment also allows me to continue investing in the level of training and professionalism you deserve.

I do, however, offer reduced-rate sessions (up to 60% off).

  • I automate payment, scheduling and reminders as far as possible so that I can focus my energy on the stuff that matters most. Fiddling with invoices and chasing up bank transfers gets in the way of that, especially as I am a Dyscalculic ADHDer!

  • I offer refunds for cancellations made up to 48 hours (two days) prior to the scheduled appointment. After that, no refunds will be given as this will count as a last minute cancellation.

  • If you need a quote to get approval for the Access To Work scheme or other funding sources please contact me to let me know exactly what you need and I’ll do my best to help.

Please note: I do not deal with the Access To Work scheme directly so you will need to pay me yourself either in advance of their reimbursing you or once they have given you the funding.

  • When you select your appointment you will see an option to add a Pay-It-Forward extra.

This is your opportunity to give a donation so that someone else who needs support but can’t access it at the full price can also receive coaching sessions with me.

When you choose to give a Pay-It-Forward gift, it goes directly towards the reduced-rate sessions I offer for people who can’t otherwise access support.

If you can comfortably afford your own coaching sessions, you can make a real difference in a fellow beautiful human’s life by choosing to add this extra when you book. If that’s you, thank you so much - you are a superstar and the world is a better place for having you in it!

You may like to read more about this and my commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion HERE

  • If you are someone who can comfortably afford the price of coaching sessions, you can optionally add an ‘extra’ when you book. It will be called ‘Pay-It-Forward’.

That donation goes directly towards reduced-rate sessions that I offer to other members of our community who would otherwise not be able to access this kind of support.

You might like to read more about my commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion HERE

  • If you are very lucky you might be able to access one. At the moment the NHS is training new Health Coaches but there is currently a long waiting list to see one and they are NOT trained to support neurodivergent people.

If you need strategies for ADHD or other neurodivergent approaches, you need a coach who specialises in this, like myself.

In addition to PCI Accreditation for basic Health & Wellbeing Coaching I have extensive additional training in helping people with the challenges of ADHD and neurodivergence including therapeutic fundamentals, sensory processing, executive functioning and trauma-informed care.

I also have lived experience. I am ADHD and Dyscalculic. And I have been supporting neurodiverse humans of all ages and backgrounds for over 10 years, since before people started really talking about it. I understand these struggles in a way that the average/neurotypical coach cannot.
